The Countdown Is On

Here it is 7:00 PM and the anticipation is building and building. Just a couple of more hours to kill before bedtime and that god awfully early wakeup call. The photos have already started. Renee got pictures of my Dad and I saying goodbye. So for me the vacation has already started. Of course being retired, the question I get most is "vacation from what?"

Renee's friend Carol just came over to say goodbye and she and Renee are going for a long walk to burn off some steam. I'm going to save my walking legs for Hawaii. Besides, its going to be hard enough on my poor knees to sit for 6 hours already, no sense pushing my luck now. The normal swelling from hockey Sunday has just gone down.

Both my daughters came over to wish Bon Voyage over the past weekend and my son came last weekend. Tomorrow morning we jet away to paradise.
